Our Story
Ok Beauty first opened its doors in 2015 when sisters Katie and Sarah decided to turn their shared love of beauty products into a business. Katie worked as a makeup artist and esthetician, while Sarah had experience managing retail stores. Together, they saw an opportunity to create an online platform that offered quality beauty essentials at affordable prices.
The name Ok Beauty was inspired by their vision to provide “okay-priced” products to consumers who didn’t want to sacrifice quality to save money. Katie and Sarah bootstrapped the business from the ground up, starting off small with just a few hundred beauty products. Through word-of-mouth and social media marketing, the brand steadily grew over the next few years.
In 2018, Ok Beauty expanded its product line to over 5,000 skincare, makeup, haircare and bath & body items. We also brought Katie’s husband John on board to oversee operations and marketing. With Katie’s expertise in beauty products, Sarah’s retail management skills, and John’s marketing savvy, our family-owned business was poised for even faster growth.
Today, Ok Beauty carries over 10,000 products from hundreds of top beauty brands. We have a team of 12 passionate beauty lovers working behind the scenes to curate our catalog, provide exceptional customer service, and keep our business running smoothly.
